Opt-in

We recommend establishing opt-in procedures to add chargeback automation to every ecommerce & medium-high risk merchant.

Most merchants under 5 chargebacks per month will not get much value, but you can sign up merchants of every size.

We'd recommend adding chargeback services to your new contracts and informing new merchants about it during the sales & exploration process. That way, merchants know what to expect if they've signed a contract including it.

We'd also recommend contacting existing clients who are receiving a high volume of chargebacks. Virtually all of these merchants would greatly benefit from chargeback automation. Opting-in these existing merchants is the best way to kickstart your new revenue stream.

Compatability

Chargeback alerts

Chargeback alerts are specifically for e-commerce merchants but can also be done with retail / card present merchants if desired.

RDR: RDR is compatible with every single merchant.

Ethoca & CDRN: Ethoca & CDRN automation is compatible with every single merchant that uses CRM integrations found below.

  • Shopify
  • Woocommerce / Wordpress
  • Checkout Champ
  • Sticky

If the merchant is not using a supported CRM and still wants Ethoca/CDRN, you can simply offer the self-service platform where the merchant must process refunds themselves.

- Auth.net & NMI gateway integrations are coming soon which will allow automated alert refunding for merchants on those gateways. If you use a custom, in-house gateway, please contact us to arrange an integration.

Representment: Representment is compatible with every merchant using one of the below CRM integrations.

Representement is specifically designed for e-commerce merchants. It currently cannot be used for retail / card present.

CRM integrations:

  • Shopify
  • Woocommerce / Wordpress
  • Checkout Champ
  • Sticky

If the merchant doesn't have a supported CRM & is high volume, we can typically service them through a custom API integration. Please reach out in this case.

Summary:

Make sure to onboard as many e-commerce and high-risk merchants as possible by incorporating this into your contract onboarding and sales process, making it an exciting service that appeals to merchants.

An API connection to the customer's CRM access is a necessity for automated representment and the automation of chargeback alert refunds.

Self service chargeback alerts can be offered in the absence of supported CRMs.
